Kundan Ahuja Poems

She walks with the Wind
Leaving me all alone.
I try to follow her-
But in vain.
...

As I sit here,
Under the Mahua Tree,
I see the leaves falling-
With the wind blowing.
...

I wish I could-
Go back in time
And enjoy every moment
I spent with you.
...

Wherever you are,
I hope you are merry;
Playing on a guitar-
A tune, as sweet as cherry.
...

Everything that I see today
Has turned into a thing beautiful
Opposite of the sky- gray
Into a thing more suitable.
...

Tell me what is more beautiful
The top of a mountain,
Which is the origin of a river; or
The terrace of a skyscraper
...

She decides to Die
Under the sky;
For she feels worthless
As her life has turned into a mess.
...

The dates escape my memories,
But I clearly remember, that then,
We had only eight or nine years of experience.
...

Everyone wants happiness,
For they think they deserve it;
As their life is experiencing steadiness,
And sadness is a misfit.
...

How beautiful is the moon!
Like a white balloon.
It stands still with the stars;
In the smoky sky, puffed by cigars.

She Walks With The Wind

She walks with the Wind
Leaving me all alone.
I try to follow her-
But in vain.

I scream, I cry,
I trip and I fall
Only to discover
That she is gone;
Gone with the Wind
In only a blink.
And I stand here
To wait for her return.

I know this will lead to disappointment;
And I cannot make a natural amendment'
For I know:
That the Wind goes to city after city,
Country after country,
And then beyond the Sea,
With no possibility of returning.
And the same with her,
Because she walks with the Wind.

I love it. I especially like the cadence of the words and the last paragraph in particular. The format is also very nice.
