Tell Me What Is More Beautiful Poem by Kundan Ahuja

Tell Me What Is More Beautiful

Tell me what is more beautiful
The top of a mountain,
Which is the origin of a river; or
The terrace of a skyscraper
Where the winds make you shiver?

Tell me what is more beautiful
The sunrise across the lake; or
The hanging lights on Diwali nights?

Tell me what is more beautiful
The assortment in a garden of flowers; or
The one in a stationary shop?

Tell me what is more beautiful
Speaking to your mother, face-to-face; or
Sending her messages, by typing faster than her reading pace?

Tell me, human, tell me.
Tell me what is more beautiful?
The natural world; or
The the man made one?

I know you prefer your own world,
For it is easier to live in it!
But, that is not what you call beautiful.

Let me tell you what is more beautiful!
It is the Sun that provides us with light.
The moon that glitters all night.
It is the trees with leaves on all boughs.
The shrubs with colourful flowers.
It is the hand that rocks the cradle.
And the love of it's possessor.
It is all that is made by the Almighty.
Because, he is the most Beautiful!
