Slowly I slip into madness,
My lonliness is all consuming.
Nothing can contain my sadness,
The faint cries I hear are soothing.

As Autumn leaves lay across soft grass,
Forming a sweet collage of brown on green.
A view is made in a class of its own,
With wind rustling quietly through branches above.

Space is an empty revelation.
Surrounding, enshrining my every temptation,
The ocean, the world's great mirror, shining
The stars back to heaven, constellations intertwining.
...

So empty I breathe short gasps,
Leaving places cold and untouched.
The void in which I live entraps,
Simply losing a mind fragmented.
...

I burn the pages of my story,
I watch the ink fade from existence.
False accounts of fictional glory,
And closeness fades into distance.
...

As my moment came,
I saw the ground below me,
Fall away all the same,
I believe I'm free.
...

Uselessly divine,
Incredibly benign.
A destructive force,
An incredible farce.
...

You'll find me in a bitter place,
A blackness untouched by begger's hands.
Not an atom left, not even a trace,
Just one crumbled statue stands.
...

So my days are done and the nights are cold,
Howling winds bring haunting cries so old.
My body withers as I beg you to go,
But my disease is rooted for all to know.
