Walk outside and see the buildings and paved streets
Men
Inspired by Women
We are the creators
...
Lost in time
Between normal and real
How lucky we are to be
or are we
...
I wish I could write a poem that would change the world
A world with barbwire fences
Try to cross and you get stuck
You get pinned and you can’t come back
...
Killed another to live
Makes me a hero
Another metal
Stuck in my heart
...
I was created to be me
And nobody else
Your problem
You can't be yourself
...
A rainbow shines
You run and hide
I offer you a rose
You push it away
...
Foolishness looks up to people
Foolishness looks down at people
But wisdom looks at people
Seeing them the way they really are
...
A plane crashed
Between Chicago and LA
It's all my fault
I didn't do the pre-check
...
Just agree with everything you see
Believe everything you hear
The stone is your reality
...
Everyone needs someone
Just somebody
Herc winds suppressed
A wind break
...
I'm sitting here thinking
Underneath the grass
Waiting to hear your foot steps
Someday I'm going to sprout
...
The Straight And The Crooked
The straight is a luscious fruit
to the crooked
...
I'm dreaming of butchers on their knees
Abusers and Accusers down and out in the gutters
While the caring, shy and meek have wings and fly
...
A small planet in the vastness of space
Upon this planet were two worlds
One on the south
The other on the north
...
People died of hunger
Crime and rape
Bullets without escape
Many children cried
...
It's a happy day
It's a warm soft rain
Sprinkling my body
Washing off my pain
...
It's a crack of light
With a lot of might
Yes we will
Yes we might
...
You're going down Blind Mans Lane
Don't think it's by any mistake
Can't see the nails and broken glass
When you get that flat
...
I was born in Kearney, Nebraska on May 4,1959 on the dawn of the age of Aquarius, otherwise known as the 60s. We didn't live in Kearney from what I understand. We lived in Edgemont, South Dakota. But Kearney, Nebraska had the nearest hospital. We moved around a lot. We moved to Des Moine, Iowa and then several parts of Springfield, Illinois. Joined the Navy in 1977. Taking early voluntary retirement due the draw down of the military because of our glorious victory, Desert Storm, I got out in 1992.)
Let Me Mansplain This To You
Walk outside and see the buildings and paved streets
Men
Inspired by Women
We are the creators
They say I'm so quiet
But I'm just careful of what I say
If I told you that you were no good
It might come to pass
If I said, all is good
Will it last
If I just say it
It might come to be
Let me mansplain this to you
I am careful of what I say
And it is you
Who inspire me
Be careful
What you inspire
of me
Together we make flight
But should we fight
We will drown in the night
