And the emptiness burns a hole
All the way through the soul

For far away across the sea

Lost in a shadowy night
Forever wondering restlessly
Always looking for thee
Always trying to find me
...

Across the sands of time
And beyond the seas of memories
We stand holding hands silently
With our sorrow hearts and broken dreams
...

Words rush in and out again as moments slip by in time
The mind is quicker then the tongue, quicker then the hand
And memories are lost amongst the sand
Like snow that burns and melts
...

Tick tock goes the clock,
Writer's block
And the pen is sleeping once again
With so much to express
...

Slipping, slipping, fading fast
The time that ever lasts
While silence gnaws away the laughter
Shared only in dreams...

Shadows fall over me
As the silence takes its toll
Weak and weary is the soul
Listening….

Shadows passing slowly
As the sands of time pour fast
Down in the darkest abyss
Tears fall as anger rages
...

Anger, seething enraged
Distorting Subtle pain
That seeps in silence…
