MONCIANA EDMONDSON

MONCIANA EDMONDSON Poems

Is it the light in my eyes?
Or the breadth of my thighs
Maybe the curve of my hips
And the smile on my lips?
...

I need the sun
I need fun
No sun no fun
Did you use a gun
...

A love life that's crippled, lame
No longer do I wish to play this game
Way too old for his mess
Not jumping through hoops to pass his test
...

I have walked my loneliest step
Each day just another lonely rep
I have cried my loneliest cry
And sighed my loneliest sigh
...

My Hope is not dead
My heart broke and bled
Down but not quite out
They don't care to know what I'm about
...

Disaster strikes and you ask why?
Maybe fall to your knees with a soul-shaking cry
Maybe, just maybe you want to lay down and die
Give away your life's breath with one last sigh
...

Stupid: what is stupid?
knowing and still doing
not knowing and doing
seeing and disbelieving
...

for people like me
at times too blind to see
stumbling through darkness from day to day
trying to find the creator's way
...

From the outside looking in
Maliciously seeking any perception of sin
Any strange behavior not to their liking
Ponucing on weaknesses, triumphantly striking
...

Like the air I need to breath
The water that flows to meet the sea
I need thee
You complete me
...

Committed to being better, stronger
Not just living one day longer
Living honestly within God-given liberty
Climbing out of the misery
...

I accepted the gift of life
Gestation: parasitic feeding, I grew
In the womb the seeds of life renew
Living cells moving to the sustaining rhythm of life
...

Home is where true love dwells
Life giving sustenance always flows from her wells
The comfort of her arms invites and compels
Nourishing those that would only seek
...

The last man I was with helped me feel small
An attempt to make his soul seem tall
At first enthralled
What I found in his arms would make my mother appalled
...

Your words are like the desert sand
Always shifting
Dry and arid, no life grows there
Play your games, the truth incinerates like volcanic flames
...

sadness amplified
thoughts of suicide
relief will come maybe if i died
hope's hands are tied
...

Good deeds and bad: ALL have the heavens witnessed
No justice in this life leaves some of us distressed
Try to hide, but in the eyes all human faults are confessed
Fear of failure covers your life, precious dreams are repressed
...

18.

Admiring his walk
The good vibes when we talk
My Hips and Thighs
Admired by Dark brown eyes
...

19.

Life; always changing,
Circumstances rearranging.
Learning + earning
For true love all are yearning
...

20.

To say your name is like our first kiss
I type your name and I recall our bliss
I doze and your name I dream
In my fantasies your name I scream
...

A Simple No

Is it the light in my eyes?
Or the breadth of my thighs
Maybe the curve of my hips
And the smile on my lips?
There is Just me, no we
Each blessed individually
With the freedom to be.
I will dwell happily
In my own special reality

The wolf in disguise
I have learnt to be wise
You will not be my demise
I see through your lies.
I see the devil in your eyes
I will not compromise
With the enemy I will not fraternize
Deaf to the soft yearning beneath your smiles

I hear your retort
But this is not a sport
Life is too short
Please understand my need to abort,
This, our brief acquaintance.
Despite your resistance
I require your acceptance
And your immediate assistance.

You comprehend my reluctance
To allow your substance
To contaminate my existence
So despite your insistence
I will quarantine this lust
Allowing it to spontaneously combust
I will put this to death
Watching as this lust takes its last breath

I have no stuttering speech
No contract for you to breach
No screeeech of tires
As I speedily retreat.
There is no reverse on life's busy street,
This is not conceit.
Just don't want to get burned,
Time wasted can never be returned
