enraptured in his feline fun,

barking dogs float
on a moat of fog.
hawks shriek by
kamikazi pilot like...

i look forward to a next time
but if that should never happen
i would be content with passion's memory.
for what has love to do with lust?

if nothing else.

i lived - to love -

birds fluttered near as if no one were there;
to sit so still so long a gift too rare

for human types. - thus did they feature me

a moth flew at my window
having seen my candle there,
flickering enchantingly.
but something in mid-air

living green fractals
with small fists unfurled,

tender fronds dancing on
...

we can sing each other the same songs
on the radio.
meaning overwhelms reality
sometimes.

the morning dawns 'ere dreams can coalesce
bring forth from 'yon their hope and respite. still
a bit of promise seems the day to bless
upon the guilded rays. i drink my fill.
