I stand as a warrior, unyielding and strong,
For I know in my heart, I must carry on.

Their words resounding, as they pave the way.

In a land where irony reigns supreme,
Where contradictions dance and dreams convene,
I find myself captivated, bewildered, and lost,
In a country, where lines are crossed.

In the twilight of years, past the bend of the river,
I recount the days, the leaders, once with hearts that'd quiver.
Presidents were many, their reigns a fleeting shadow,
Each one's entry and exit, a unique melodramatic tableau.

In the heart of vibrant Africa, where democracy should reign,
Two shadows lurk, two specters haunt, two faces of the same pain.
One a soldier, gun in hand, the other clothed in suit,
Both rob the people of their choice, both the people's voice they mute.

In the heart of a village, where life's rhythm thrived,
Stood a treasured drum, where dreams and hopes derived.
Its beats echoed the spirit of a united land,
Guiding souls with its sound, like a steady hand.

A man dances, caught in scandal's coil,
His moments laid bare for all to consume,
While the virtuous among us dwell in gloom.

Where promises bloom like weeds in cracked concrete,
Does the eagle still soar on wings of borrowed air,
Or crash in the myth of a carrier that's never there?

In a sun-baked land where promises bloom like mirages in the heat,
Our leaders spin tales taller than the baobab trees,
Claiming visa chains with an Arab realm were snapped, set free
'Oh, travel now, my people, the doors swing wide! ' they decree.
