Oritsemolebi Eric Atie Poems

I see her
Though it be yonder
Still I kneel to surrender
As though her body renders.
...

Love oh love
What have I done to thee
That I suffer thus?
It's thee I seek
...

I watch and dream
I hope and wish;
What clan I claim?
Whose land I grace?
...

Oh how I've missed your touch
How I've missed you little droplets
Racing down from above
As though sent by the creator himself
...

My eyes shall see no more
Than I have made it seen,
Nor shall my ears yield to any tongue
That spits out to the wind.
...

Aroused by this drear state
One not deemed by faith
Nor feigned by fear
To muster such dreadful cheer
...

On and on she goes
With a shining glow,
A dark effigy of Helen
Has got me falling.
...

Give me a crown of thorns
And scourge me off my maidenhood
Wear me a ring of barbs
And bind my fingers to serve you
...

Achilles' Heel

I see her
Though it be yonder
Still I kneel to surrender
As though her body renders.
High aloft I watch her
With deceptive delight
My body burning with desire
Still cannot withstand her fire.

Who could she be?
The one I see
Not once I've seen
Nor twice the scene.
Whose pride is she?
The one I see,
Whose will she bids?
Or hunger she fills?

Soon it be dusk
Still I stand and watch,
Shortly she'll be done
And I, I'll wallow in my sinful lust.
Nay! bring her forth,
Bring her in royal furs,
Bring her that I fill my hunger thus
Tis my very flaw.
