Waiting For Love Poem by Oritsemolebi Eric Atie

Waiting For Love

Oh how I've missed your touch
How I've missed you little droplets
Racing down from above
As though sent by the creator himself
Sent down to bring me clarity

Oh how I've missed those nights,
Nights I shiver from your kiss
Mights you make me shy
And I'll tuck into my blanket
And blush like a young lover

Oh nights sweet nights
Nights i fall deeply in love with you
Nights when I'm engrossed by your gentle touch
Nights you whisper into my ears
In a soft melancholic tune

Oh how I've waited
Waited under this cruel foe
One burning down my skin with his fiery gaze
making me crave-crave in-vane
For our long love days

Still I'll keep waiting
Waiting in comfort of long love memories
Waiting beneath the watchful eyes
Of this busy old fool
Waiting, like a jailbird
