மக்களின் ஏளனச் சிரிப்பினி லிருந்து
கொடிய கொடுங்கோலன் அவனை நோக்கி
நெடிது தாக்கவரும் ஆயுதங்க ளையெதிர்
கொள்ள குண்டு துளைக்காத சட்டை
அணிந்து காலையிலே தயாராகி விட்டானே!
குத்தீட்டி யினின்று காக்கும் அகவுறை
ஒத்ததாம் கவசம் நெஞ்சிற்(கு) அணிந்து,
பளபள வென்றவோர் தலைக்கவ சமோடு,
எளிதினில் நெருப்புப் புகாத தடுப்புமே;
அணிந்து, ஈயம் பதித்த பட்டையும்
காப்பாக, கழுத்துக்கு எஃ(கு) உலோகப் பட்டி
அணைப்பும், விடமுறிவு அட்ரினலின் குளிகை,
விடவாயு தடுக்கும் முகமூடி யணிந்தானே!
கீழிறங்கி கூட்டத்தில் புகுந்தான்; மனம்குன்றி
இழிந்தே நாணி விரைவில் உணர்ந்தான்;
மக்களின் ஏளனச் சிரிப்பினி லிருந்து
எக்கணமும் காக்கும் காவலேதும் இல்லையே!

The evil dictator prepared for the day
Against all weapons that might come his way
By pulling on his bullet proof vest
With extra armour across his chest
Including the mesh stab proof lining
With his titanium helmet shining
Climbed in his flameproof air tight jacket
With lead set panels inserted to back it
Covered with a lead lined coat
And padding with steel wrapped round his throat
Adrenaline pills to keep poison at bay
A mask so gas won't get in his way
He stepped out to the crowd and soon he felt halfed
He had no defence against the people who laughed - Flying Lemming
