i cant always be
the perfect little girl
that you imagined
with that little curl.
i cant be
a girly girl
that will twist
like a candy swirl.
i cant always be
the perfect little girl
that will be so damn perfect
with a necklace with a peral
on...
no one is perfect, not even little girls. i feel for you since everyone seems to want and expect so much from me. great write.

i understand the 'perfect daughter thing' My uncle expects so much out of me..I can relate easily. I can't be the person HE wants me to be...because his vision is perfect..which means its unrealistic. I'm unperfect and thats the way I want to be! Great poem, love it!
