038: The Fly Poem by Colin Johnston

038: The Fly

I’m sorry Fly, that I killed you
Your buzzing was annoying me…

Your constant Flights and Stops
Between the Lamp and Elsewhere
Began to Irritate…

For that simple reason
I killed you…

I know nothing of your Life
Is it Days, Weeks, Months?
What were your Goals and Aspirations?

Did you, Dead Fly,
Feel Hate, Love or Sympathy?
Or did you just crave Existence?

For that Reason and that Reason alone,
I’m sorry, Dead Fly…
