Until the book of my life is filled
I must keep writing it
almost like a diary
of what has happened in my existence so far
Words lines and paragraphs are added
more of them each day
the future is left blank
as the book knows not what will come to be
Sometimes I like to turn the pages back
to remember what happened before
but whole chapters I will not read again
some things are better off left be
At the end of my life the book will be completed
it will never be a best seller in the shops
but it was never meant to be
all that would matter
is that it would belong to me
This is awesome. You don't need to go through shops just to get through you. After all. That's You.
Hey, I haven't seen this one before. I like it though. Everybody's life is like a book and it's only up to us what it will contain..
unlike you, i don't shy away from rereading any of my chapters, though reading them to others might horrify some or put some to sleep (from boredom) . there are a few paragraphs i will continue to keep secret until i am even older; i think REALLY old people (which i don't intend to become) may be excused for parts of their past. but i have a big mouth, so......much of what i've experienced, which others would not dare or care to share with others, i will gladly share. like my two interesting mental health arrests! they happened because about 15 years ago (when i was single, again) i made reference to my belief that suicide is a viable option to living. very interesting stuff. or my two colonoscopies (some of which is in poem form on PH) . thanks, Prof, for sharing. keep writing. bri :) p.s. you will, of course, send me a complimentary copy?
