#18 (From, ‘what's Really Happening-In 54 Numbers’) Poem by Peter S. Quinn

#18 (From, ‘what's Really Happening-In 54 Numbers’)

Rating: 5.0

It's Christmas time and I'm alone,
Because my girl is gone.
I'm upset because of this phone,
It just keeps ringing on.
I don't know if she is on the line,
Just trying to cheer me up.
She knows I'm not feeling fine,
Teardrops in my cup.

She went with a man that came,
A boyfriend she once knew.
Should I be resentful, full of blame?
Just because we are through.

She could respect the holidays,
Be with me just this day.
Loneliness with thoughts it plays,
No matter what I say.
