180. Mankind's Ability Poem by Jaden Knight

Mankind's ability to hate and betray
is a frightening one
even if you don't think about it
won't prevent you from being set up
allowed to fall by the hands of others

Many are often ready to blame another
to let them take the flack
for our failings and mistakes
whenever the situation arises
that we can free ourselves temporarily
from the millstone of our own guilt

Not that the solution is permanent
but it can do a job for a time
just enough to shift the weight
before someone does the same to us

Violence and death are also common
the desire to kill what is not understood
it's easier to hate what you can't comprehend
rather than to take the time to learn

That's why some are killed for their beliefs
especially if they don't match with others
is it better to destroy another for what they think
surely it is best just to let them be
only defending your corner when needed

Yes mankind has the ability to hate and kill
but it does not mean that it is right
turn aside from harmful ways
and walk with us towards the light
