2,1,2 Poem by Adriana Ellis

We were like two stars in the sky
one on one side
the other on the other
shinning so bright
but wanting to be brighter
stretching our points from miles aways
just to connect with one another
traveling for years
across a big dark area
wondering when we were going to unite
finally we did
and it was like no other
we became one and brighter than ever
we kept pushing
and pushing
to maintain that shinny glow
untill one day
the moon came
and we no longer showed
you decided that the moon was brighter than me
so we went to follow your destiny
a few years later
you were on your own again
and we were just like two stars
all alone in the sky
one on one side
the other on the other
You tried to bring your points close to me
but I backed away because I knew we werent destiny.
