.2. Dockside Waiting Poem by David Threadgold

.2. Dockside Waiting

Alone on the dock with a cold mist and more
I stood as you ship sailed away
An adventure for you on a far distant shore
Not so for me here I stay

What can I do without you by my side?
I’ll be lost just like you all at sea
So remember my love to return when you can
And bring all your love home to me
