.2. What A Spectacle Poem by David Threadgold

.2. What A Spectacle

I saw Elvis and his hound dog
As I rode the forty eight
A little Irish leprechaun
Sat on our neighbours gate

I saw Jimmy Cagney’s dirty rat
Chase a bus stop full of lasses
I’ll be glad when I get into town
To collect my brand new glasses
