My darling I love you so
more than I can ever say
I need to let you know
how I truly feel about you

I want to be your shades in the sunshine
your favourite t shirt in the warm
your coat when it gets cold
your boots for when the rain pours down

I'll be your safe port in a storm
your ship for calmer seas
your compass while we travel
and your anchor for when we come to rest

I'll be your shoulder to cry on when needed
I will always give you hugs
I'll be your watcher when you sleep
so you can only have great dreams

I want to be this and more
please believe me when I say it's true
that you're so very precious
