222. I Will Be A Bird Poem by Dipankar Sadhukhan

222. I Will Be A Bird

I am sitting on my couch
In the lonely balcony
Of my new flat in the afternoon
And looking at the unknown bird
Flying in the boundless sky.

The bird is unchained
With the agony of this mundane world
As whenever it wishes
It soars in the blue firmament
On its little pretty wings.

I will be the immortal bird
And fly in the sky of freedom,
On the wings of poesy
Only to lose myself
In the kingdom of eternal happiness.
