237. He Is Still Invisible Poem by Jaden Knight

237. He Is Still Invisible

Beneath the October moon
he watched her walk away
too broken to try to run and hide
he just cried and started to fade inside

Seemed to become almost invisible
as no one saw him suffering
even when he told those who were once close
they still don't notice his pain

Three weeks later she came back
realising she had made a mistake
but by then it was too late
found him hanging from a weeping willow
in his hands she found the ring
she'd given him for his 35th birthday

Years on and she still laments his passing
she wears his ring on a silver chain
will never forgive herself for running off
when she could have had much more

It is said that he will walk with her
until the day that she dies
near enough a guardian angel
as in life he is in death
he is still invisible
