We all wear a mask at some point in our lives
but not all have the same reasons to do so
some wear theirs on every day
others for only a few hours

There are those that are made for protection
to hide their true emotions
it's harder to get hurt by anyone
when no one can see inside

I've seen those that are a disguise
others that are who the person truly is
all of many colours
some shimmering in their owner's darkness

We all wear a mask at some point in our lives
but not all have the same reasons to do so
