263. Your Hate Refreshes Me - Poem by John Westlake

Your hate refreshes me
like a cool mountain stream
I like to bathe in it now and then
and let it wash all over me

Your lies and stories amuse me
like a brilliant comedy series
I love to hear your rumours
they give me much to laugh about

I love to feel your helpless rage
it gives me something to watch
without you things could be very boring
but you keep me entertained

Your anger nourishes me
I love to feed on it everyday
to know it strengthens me
must be such a blow
to your well over inflated ego

You may think that this is strange
how your negatives seem to do me much good
but didn't you ever stop to wonder
why I bothered keeping you around in the first place
