The good guys always win
at least if you believe all the stories and films
no matter how badly they are outnumbered
they always seem to come out on top
Now turn back to real life
where nothing is quite so clear cut
there is no exact script or plan
the good guys and bad guys
don't know their places and lines
Due to poor judgment we reverse the roles
the grey areas become much darker
we trust the evil ones with our lives
and yet fail to trust those who are not
With the threat of war looming
the heroes go off to defend
what is right in their beliefs
yet as they fall they are demonised
for being only mortal men
As the bodies pile up around the world
and the dust starts to settle and clear
you will realise the horrible truth
that the good guys don't always win
