29 And Lost Poem by Shirley Hanley

29 And Lost

The heavy burden of my desire
lies waste my soul...
darkness clouds my thoughts
as I fall...
deeper and deeper,
caught in a web of fear
everywhere lonely, empty space...
time stands still
and I await tomorrow...

Ah Shirley, I can see you in 1970 penning these thoughts. I too was there doing the same. Read Time 'Heals'. I am sure you will see the similarity. Adeline
