Russell Crow

Silver Star - 3,325 Points (May 25th,1995)

3 - Poem by Russell Crow

Would you confine me to a strait jacket if I spoke the words:
'The number is haunting me'
Would you find me guilty of a crime
if, paranoid eyes, I said I don't know what to do
What would you say, would you believe me
if I warned that I'm staring in a black hole I already fell in
Troubling, this is troubling
I've always denounced my ability to elephant-like memory
yet the more I recall, the more it's crystal clear
3 is following me
Don't believe me then lets check the math, this transcript of facts
I kicked and screamed My wAY out into the world
crying in seconds of 25, opening my eyes on year 1995
In Christianity, they say triple 7's are the ultimate in goodness
and triple 6's are the ultimate evil
but what would it mean for triple 5's
Triple 5: 1 step from damnation,2 steps from salvation
Still don't believe me; do you say it's mere coincidence
Look at my real name, say the first and last slowly
count the syllables, do you hear it
Now say the middle by itself; count the syllables, do you hear it
Do you know my fears
in blindness, I have repeated words to myself
I allowed TV series upon series steal my attention for years of
My extensive musical library even includes one of my FAVORITE bands called Thrice
The Sorceress of my life, Anastasia and Juliet alike
thought it was hilarious and wise to separately yet simultaneously
rob me of 3 units of time from my life, dismantling me
Unconsciously, do I do this to myself
In my archives I've devised a system to which
my relationships can't endure a woman named the same in times of
Need I continue before I lose the 3rd time
3rd time's the charm right
Do you find me crazy, am I criminally insane
Would you fine me a reward for a doctor to diagnose me
What would you think if I said I'm staring into a black hole
I fell into 3 times before
