.3. I Eat Elephants Poem by David Threadgold

.3. I Eat Elephants

Save me a large slice of the action
A piece that all others can’t chew
Then leave me alone while I’m eating
And let me show you what to do

I’ll cut my slice into small pieces
And eat just one piece at a time
Until the last one goes down easy
As often it did in my prime

Yes I’m an old elephant eater
Too big to be eaten in one
I eat all large problems in pieces
Till all of the problem is gone
