Don’t hide the sprouts and the broccoli
It makes them much harder to find
I don’t like those dark green surprises
They lurk on my plate when we dined
I don’t mind a bit of white cauli
With one or two leaves for good measure
I tolerate Swede mashed with carrot
And sweet garden peas are a pleasure
So don’t hide the sprouts and the broccoli
A waste of both your time and mine
Cos only one peek of the greens that I seek
Will spoil a good meal when we dine
