Into the night sky
Fly thousands of bats
Their dark furry bodies
Like small flying rats
They feed on the wing
When they get hunger pangs
Munching on insects
With white shiny fangs
Then back to the belfry
All hang from the rafters
To snack on spare insects
They’d saved up for afters
