30 Billion Dollars Poem by Sankhajit Bhattacharjee

30 Billion Dollars

Rating: 5.0

30 billion dollars per year are needed
to quench the hunger of the world...
Millions of billion are used to dump weapons.
Hungry people will never eat bullets and bombs!
Alas! If they are erased with bullets and bombs,
hunger will get erased with them forever!
Hunger is not natural, it's created,
so its destruction is a joke...

The problem of hunger in the world is awfully real. But the solution is paradoxical. There are countries who speak up for peace but showcase their weapons to sell. Developing and poor countries misutilise their resources to purchase weapons. these can be spent otherwise for the welfare of their people. Thanks.
