381. Poem by Jaden Knight

381.

It does not really bother me where you're from
or what colour you may happen to be
your gender and orientation is irrelevant to me
as mine should be to you

I am not going to judge your outside
as I try to see beyond the skin
black and white are just colours to me
your heart and mind are the things that count

If you are willing to take a stand
then I will gladly join you
to educate the world to use their minds
not just their eyes and mouths

It does not really bother me where you're from
or what colour you may happen to be
your gender and orientation is irrelevant to me
for as long as you are alive
a potential friend you could be to me
