39 - I’ll Be

Rating: 5.0

Take my picture off the wall
Pack it up and put it away
Keep it safe forget about it
Until you’re lonely on a rainy day

It’s over and done with
I’ve finally flown free
My spirit soars
My soul lives on in eternity

Gracefully I ride the breeze
Caught up in raptured light
I’m the sightly sun in the morn
And the effulgent moon at night

Found again when you dream
No longer lost in a hollow tree
I’ll remain there till winter
Until your love calls to me

I’ll be there in the spring
Where the dew drops
Still lay wet
Letting you remember
Letting you forget

In the autumn sun
Where the red meets the blue
I’ll close my eyes and sleep
In the earth waiting for you
