.4. Feeling Weepy Poem by David Threadgold

.4. Feeling Weepy

Rating: 5.0

Something in my gardens sad
At night I’ve heard it weeping
Disturbing me while resting
Now I’m no longer sleeping

I gave my plants good compost
The roses got manure
It didn’t stop the weeping
Now I need to know for sure

So I bought a book with content
On what each plant should need
To keep it growing happily
In soil that’s free of weed

I read through all the pages
At night whilst I weren’t sleeping
But there’s nothing that a man can do
To stop a willow weeping
