#400 Night's Queens And Kings Poem by Jimmie Arrington

#400 Night's Queens And Kings

How are there so many stars
In the sky tonight?
How are there so many lights
Twinkling, shining bright?

How do they hang suspended
Without wires or strings?
How do they fill the black void,
Like night's queens and kings?

How do the planets orbit
Without a single thought?
How do they spin and rotate
As if they have been taught?

How does the moon cast its glow
And light the dark night?
How does she rise and slowly
Change yellow to white?

How does the sun hide its face,
Giving the earth rest?
How does she never forget
To set in the west?

Here, tonight this universe
Piques awe I can't ignore.
Here I sit and wonder when
I will wonder no more.
