450. Poem by Jaden Knight

Am not an angel by any definition
neither am I a demon
in their battles I take no sides

I will aid or hinder either one
as I decide to at the time
can't have it any other way
as they have no hold over me

I stand between the darkness and the light
inspired by both influenced by neither
am in the middle about most things
at present the grey area suits me

I guess one day I will need to choose
to rise or fall as my decision allows
for now I remain in the middle
I do not wait for the victor in the battle for the world
merely the war within
