475. Glorfin Sleeps Poem by Jaden Knight

475. Glorfin Sleeps

The new baby Elvish prince Glorfin sleeps soundly tonight
at the base of a Nessamelda
wrapped in a long green blanket and hood
his pillows are leaves from a giant Mallorn

The full moon is smiling over him
through the branches of forest
while it is rumoured to favour his race
his destiny is not yet known

He's watched over by fireflies and fairies
dancing in little points of light
they do not disturb the slumbering baby
their songs are a perfect lullaby

When he awakes at sunrise
his parents will have returned
his nocturnal guardians can get some rest
to return as the sun sets
