Break down the walls that keep me in
Remove the iron bars
My prison is a self-made thing
With many hidden scars
Within my mind I see the locks
That keeps me in this hell
I dream one day I might escape
If they could make me well
My jailers are an unseen kind
But trust me they are there
They bring me pain and make me weak
And sometimes they just scare
With chains they wrap around me
It’s hard for me to walk
I ask them to release me
They never want to talk
If freedom be the right of man
My prison you can’t see
Cure all the things that keep me in
And set this body free
