529. You Ask Me For Forgiveness Poem by Jaden Knight

529. You Ask Me For Forgiveness

You asked me for forgiveness
when I cannot give you any
your misdeeds and crimes have been tattooed
deep in the vaults of my memory
and they cannot be easily removed

The graffiti made by tears will not scrub out
nor will the chisel marks caused by your lies
major repairs are required
and I have not got the time

When I left you I was delighted
as no more damage could be caused
the doors have been locked and barred
you are no longer welcome

So I suggest that you depart again
and do not attempt to return
although I may eventually forget
you can not ever be forgiven
