Happy Thanksgiving to everyone
even if you don't partake
a celebration for all Americans
and maybe a few others as well

A chance to link up for families
who can't Christmas together
for a time for joyous festivities
as long as the true meaning is not forgotten

Gather round your friends to celebrate
even if all is not going well
compared to many in the outside world
we have much to be thankful for

It doesn't matter if you have a mighty feast
with many guests turning up to your party
or a meagre spread just for a few
all that matters is the people who are there
to share and celebrate the occasion with you
