61 - D.O.G

The trials and tribulations
Within the dogs year
The joy and the sorrow
Shared in a tear
His first born girl taken
To where heaven meets the sun
But this man won’t quit
Because “This blood don’t run”
He soldiered on
On his happy day
With his priest at his side
In dark corners he would pray
The woman he loved
Held him safe and tight
And wiped his tears
On their honeymoon night
Months then past until one morn
Standing at the foot of his bed
FBI, Swat team and people in masks
Woke him with guns to his head
Wanted for the kidnap of Luster
A price to keep women safe
An obserd punishment from Mexico
For restoring their independence and faith
What was Dog to do?
Let this rapist run
If you were in his shoes
What would you have done?
