I was up at dawn this morning
I was in the mood for walking
I stepped out my doorway
And I walked upon the Earth
The sky was all about us
And the moon and stars were out
And I felt the Earth responding
As I was stepping out
It seemed to move away from me
And then come back again
When I pushed a little harder
It responded just the same
So I tested it methodically
As Galileo might have
Making lots of measurements
And careful observations
The conclusion’s inescapable
No doubt that I can find
There’s a definite attraction
Between the Earth and I
So I took it all on board
And it seemed like common sense
If we’re so mutually attractive
Then we should at least be friends
And so it was agreed we would
And that was just the start
We always help each other
And we’re never far apart
The Earth and I are lovers now
We romp and play for fun
Me and Earth an item
As we hurtle round the Sun
So if you feel vague tremors
As you’re lying in your bed
Its me and Earth out walking
We’re the very best of friends
So, it's you we have to blame, when the sizemologists point to arctic faults in the core of your best friend, as precisioned rationale for the next Earth Quake, David... Hey, Nice Work, here...Keep that pen pumpin'! ''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''{F. j. R.}
