A Baby Castle Poem by Jody L. Moody

A Baby Castle

I hope the baby castle you live in,
Is just beautiful beyond your eye,
Where you play with all your toys,
That money can't afford to buy.

Today is your first birthday,
And I miss you so much down here,
I remember that first day,
I held you so close and near.

I did not get to see you move,
Or hear your little cry,
But I know god and his angels,
Got to look into your eyes.

They got to take you home,
And care for your every need,
They got to hold your little hand,
And instil your beautiful wings.

I bet your laughter carries on,
And your smile is full of cheer,
I'm sure you're lulled by heavens song,
And your little heart beats so pure.

I bet you are the cutest angel,
That heaven has ever had,
With beautiful little puffy wings,
And a toy truck that 'vroom's' so fast.

I wish I could see you,
Playing with all your toys,
But only god gets to watch you,
And hear your angelic little voice.

Happy birthday my son,
It's your day to shine up there,
Your day to bring heaven joy,
With hugs and kisses to share.

Please watch over your little sister,
That will play in your old room,
She is a blessing just like you,
Who will be here very soon.

Now go play my precious son,
Laugh and smile as children do,
You get to grow up in heaven,
And I get to remember you.
