A Bad Day Poem by Deluke Muwanigwa

A Bad Day

No day is the same as another
But today was bad i need an answer
It started at dawn was like dusk
I could not find anyone to ask
Like the sun rose in the west
And set unusually in the east
Everything i did seemed like a test
I did not even get time to eat
Working hard achieving nothing
Every effort not worth a farthing
Even when the sun was at its zenith
In the grip of a hot summer day
I felt numb and cold why i cant say
This day i still dont know what was in it

It was a bad day
This i will say
The saving grace
Which put a smile on my face
Are the poems i wrote
And the joy they brought
Otherwise what a horrible day
A bad day
