A Bad Day Ashore Poem by Neethu Prasanna

A Bad Day Ashore

Rating: 4.8

Sea turns pale, it riles and gives a loud rale;
It is rising, opening its mouth as a monstrous whale.

This thousand headed serpent does empoison!
It cackles as men do when fishes fall to nets in foison.

Oh the poorest of the poor homes plunge;
Cruelly so cruelly it leaps after each lunge.

Definitely a bad day ashore. The sea in its ferocity washes everything away in its path. Who is able to stand against it. it shows no mercy whatsoever on the unaware. Written with such poignancy this poem is great. I have a poem titled An Angry Sea. Please take a peek when you have time.

A beautifully rhyming poem bringing out the ferocity with which the sea advances and lashes against the shore, swallowing everything in one gulp! Enjoyed Much! Thank you Neethu for the nice comment!
