A Boring Paradise Poem by Freeyad Ibrahim

A Boring Paradise

By Freeyad Ibrahim

The wine is Free from Headiness
But, is it free from other side effects?
Fatty liver for example…addiction or tremor?
Its food is everlasting,
It never turns bad
So, we don't need refrigerator
And its shade is too everlasting
So, we don't need electric fans
Or air-conditioning- or a cooler
No ovens needed, no heater
We don't need to shit, or bathe
So, we need no toilets, no boiler
Women we get in abundant
But what do the women get in return
Hardly I could give answer
Is the paradise built only for males?
And the wives, turn into Houries, nice and tender
Fair women with beautiful and lustrous eyes
are still under the service of men,
No freedom in earthly life and hereafter
For abnormal guys there is much pleasure
(Youths of perpetual freshness.
If thou seest them, thou wouldst think them
pearls that scatter.)
When Gorden, our beardless singer,
Heard that, he became immediately a keen believer
let his beard grow, and abandoned bad character
But Nietzsche has got bored of these promises
(In the heaven all interesting people are missing.)
But I remember just the mad people
Where would they go, hereafter?
No religion, not good deeds, dirty, no prayer
I think they will stand on the line
separating Paradise from the Hell
at the mercy who would give them a push
Makes no difference for them
Falling in Heaven or Hell
Only the Crazy one is the Winner!
