When I had no feel of love
You sprang a trap and slung the noose
around my heart with spunk.
When I spurned your love
You shed flowing tears to lure me
and caught me spell-bound.
When I was offhand with you
You spoke on dreams wonderful
where we flew over the hills.
When I put you on the pedestal
of my heart, my walk and gait
changed and got ready to take off.
When I told you, I was jobless,
You slid out in no time plunging me
into a long lasting grief.
