A Broken Heart Poem by Runita R Menezes

A Broken Heart

Rating: 5.0

I was so happy, sorrow had yet to come my way.
Your smile was so rich just like a sunlit bay.
You were always around when I needed you,
Just like every flower needs dew.
You gave me happiness and a lot of contentment.
You were the finest thing on the seven continents.
You seemed so good, so full of care,
But to love me eternal, you wouldn’t dare.

Soon you lost your interest in me,
For you’d found another bee.
Very soon down in the dumps was I,
Bravely, without a tear I bid you good-bye.

Though I know I won’t find another you,
You made me feel a hurt that was new.
This hurt which made me, shed a lot of tears,
That gave rise to many doubts and fears.
I knew the end and the start,
I’d fallen in love and was left with a broken heart.

Just like every flower needs dew......................oh what imagery of love, just starry night needs moon, love seems to shadowed by the storm, that may glean tears to eyes, but in time and space that happens to happen by its own way in matrix of love, that is the other side of love when intense, wrought ingenious by eloquence of passion,10+++, thanks for sharing
