A Bundle Of Joy Poem by Tessa Gaoses

A Bundle Of Joy

A baby is a gift from God
A true joy in your life
With a smile so bride
It pulls at your heartstrings
With a face so innocent
With eyes so trusting
All you want to do is to protect it

Many have known of the joy
Some have taken it for granted
Others took it on because they had to
Yet some do it because it is their legacy
It is a piece of us through which we continue to live
When our journey on earth reaches its end

God bestows this responsibility
For he wants us to raise them well
To nurture and guide them
To love and prepare them
To provide for them in this world
A world at times cruel
The best way we know how

So enjoy your bundle of joy
It’s no ordinary bundle
It has pink tiny feed
It has little pink fingers
Yet it makes a din when not content
You wonder how something so small can make so much noise
