A Cameo Role, You Play Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

A Cameo Role, You Play

When the wanton warbler
strewed its music,
you glimpsed at me,
smiled for a while and gone.
You played a cameo role
Filched my heart and gone.

You made me build castles
and couched in mind some epistles
about the impact wrought in me
by your flurry of love-tokens
exchanged often in brief moments.

The fleeting Time can't erase
the sweet memories I have.
The place where you stand in me
will not cave in for you to descend
and disappear into the depths
of my unconscious mind.
You're atop smiling and smiling
and mailing my heart to dizzy heights!
